Maybe Happy Ending begins performances for its Broadway debut at the Belasco Theatre October 16 ahead of a November 12 opening night.

Huey Lewis had the honor of being placed on the Sardi’s Walls of Broadway fame with his portrait at an unveiling by Max Klimavicius, owner of Sardi’s.

The upcoming Broadway production of the musical Maybe Happy Ending starring Darren Criss and Helen J Shen will be delayed by nearly a month due to what producers say are supply chain issues related to the custom-made scenic design.

The Huey Lewis jukebox musical opened April 22 at the James Earl Jones Theatre.

The musical, with a score by Huey Lewis and the News, opened on April 22 and will close on June 23.

The album is produced by Huey Lewis, Brian Usifer and Will Van Dyke with Hunter Arnold, Tyler Mitchell and Kayla Greenspan serving as Executive Producers.

Emmy and Golden Globe-winner Darren Criss (American Buffalo, The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story) will return to the stage alongside Helen J Shen (The Lonely Few, Teeth) in the Broadway premiere of the new musical Maybe Happy Ending.

PURLIE VICTORIOUS was nominated for four Dorian Theater Awards

Two joint special citations were awarded: One to the revivals of Merrily We Roll Along and Purlie Victorious, and a second to actors Maryann Plunkett and Jay O. Sanders for lifetime achievement; Plunkett has appeared this season in The Notebook and Deep Blue Sound, and Sanders in Primary Trust and Purlie Victorious.

Life is a Cabaret as a new revival of the John Kander, Fred Ebb, and Joe Masteroff musical officially opens at Broadway’s Kit Kat Club (née August Wilson Theatre) April 21.

The Heart of Rock and Roll, a new musical featuring the hit songs of ’80s superstars Huey Lewis and The News, is coming to Broadway this spring, with previews beginning at The James Earl Jones Theatre on Friday, March 29, 2024, ahead an opening night on Monday, April 22.
